Recently built a gaming PC (beginner) and experiencing random restarts during gameplay. Identified GPU temperature issue: Fortnite at Epic settings reached 84°C, reduced to Pro settings (lowered all options) and still peaked at 84°C; same issue occurred with CS:GO. Adequate airflow confirmed via hand test despite elevated temperatures. Cooling system consists of an AIO cooler and two case fans. Utilizing the latest Nvidia drivers. No GPU overclocking. Attempted a new power supply (550W instead of 650W). Build details: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TWbnQq]

It depends on the case and fan placement; the optimal setup isn't always straightforward.

The H500 is not an airflow-focused case – cooling ability is merely adequate. NZXT advertises this and its sibling cases for a negative pressure setup; adding front intake fans helps, but it’s weak compared to a strong top and rear exhaust due to the design of the front panel.

A 2060 running at 84°C indicates a poor cooler design.

120mm AIOs are a pointless product – they offer little benefit.

The temperature of 84 degrees Celsius in the lobby is unacceptable. Please advise on your fan configuration.

I possess an intake fan at the front and two exhaust fans at the rear.

Locate your AIO. Prioritize intake over exhaust; increased intake allows cold air entry, and natural airflow will occur even without exhaust fans. For your configuration, install two intake fans facing forward, a single exhaust fan on top, and mount the AIO to the rear as an exhaust.

I have the AIO as an exhaust already; I will try switching the fans around. I took the side plate and aimed a box fan into it, and it is still running 75°C in the Fortnite lobby.

Increased core temperatures of 75C are likely due to recent AMD BIOS updates designed to improve Ryzen 3000 boost clock speeds, which result in elevated voltage levels and consequently, increased operating temperatures.

The combination and its all-in-one cooler draws hot exhaust air and is undersized for the processor; the increased speed constitutes an overclock, resulting in acceptable temperatures.

like the setup in my case is the bad cooling design or the GPU just doesn't Dissipate heat that that well. I also have the AIO as an exhaust and doesn't seem to be affecting the CPU temp. This is also the second GPU i have got from this company because the first one was bad out of the box.
