Hello, my issue is that I just purchased a gaming laptop and after about 30 minutes the FPS drops significantly. Here are the details:
Laptop: MSI GF75 Thin 10UE
CPU: Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60hz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
RAM: 16GB
I’m playing Dead by Daylight (also streaming on Twitch), which should maintain a steady 120 FPS. However, after just one or two games, my FPS drops to 80-90. That’s really frustrating.
While I was using it, my CPU temperature reached around 75-90 degrees and the GPU stayed between 50-70 degrees.
I’m not sure what’s causing this problem.
🙁

The CPU is still experiencing thermal throttling despite being the same model; it seems the problem persists. With an updated BIOS, undervolting might be possible.
