New Game ++... Any Other Disappointment?
I just finished Witcher 3 for the second time. I chose Triss instead of Yen this round. I’ve spent over 100 hours playing, pushed power up to 69 from 34, completed the Hearts of Stone expansion, and all this was just to start a fresh game plus save for next year’s DLC. About five minutes ago I learned you can only play a new game once per session. That’s disappointing. I was confident, wearing Ofieri armor, loaded with powerful runes and enchantments that cost me 50k in endgame currency, and eager to begin again so I could rewatch the intro, save my progress, and fill up time with Fallout 4 until Blood and Wine drops. It’s been tough lately, but I’m trying to stay positive. Anyone else feel this way? I think it’s unfair to cut you off like that. Why not have a level cap when there’s no real way to earn more XP after finishing quests and contracts? Do you think others relate or am I the only one feeling this way? What do you think?

I completed The Witcher 3 multiple times, the most recent being with Hearts of Stone. The previous two runs ended without a New Game+ expansion, so I began fresh for the third time. I doubt I’d even opt for that option on a fourth playthrough, especially if the next expansion arrives.
