Hey everyone, I recently upgraded my setup with a new ASUS Maximus hero Xii Apex i9 11900K and a GTX 3080 Ti. After taking apart the old system, I installed the new components and connected everything. Every time I power on, I see a postcode 00 along with a red flashing light. The manual mentions it’s related to the CPU, but I’ve tried all sorts of fixes—removed the GPU, reinserted the CPU, swapped RAM, changed power supplies, adjusted BIOS settings. Even when I booted without the CPU or only with minimal hardware, the issue persists. I’m stuck and wondering if there’s something else going on. Maybe it’s a fan problem or a CMOS issue. I’ve checked all connections and cables, but nothing seems to work. If anyone has any tips, I’d really appreciate it!

It seems you're experiencing an issue with updating the BIOS on your device. The board appears to have a BIOS flashback feature.

Unclear if 16-pin refers to a component or board. Check if the motherboard requires BIOS updates. Consider testing with a different board or CPU to confirm.

I realized you were referring to a 24-pin connector.

It's strange how the device behaves after an update—it switches on and off repeatedly, sometimes passing by, then shutting itself down completely and no longer turning back on.

The Qcode displays the current status. Have you attempted to power it off, adjust the power source, and then attempt to start it?

He tried the fix but reset the CMOS and still sees no output—it just stays off. All the LEDs stay lit but don’t react to the power or start buttons on the motherboard.

Is it a Z490 motherboard? You’ll definitely need to apply the latest BIOS update. Consider flashing the most recent BIOS onto the board using the Flashback function again.
