I completed the assembly of my new build last night, turned it on, loaded the necessary programs, and connected the old USB adapter... but nothing happened. The system doesn’t recognize it at all. Network settings are prompting me to connect via LAN, here’s what you might try.

I think drivers would be helpful. Would it be possible to connect via Ethernet for them? Is your USB WLAN adapter still working in Windows 10? If not, consider using another computer and transferring the drivers to a USB stick. Another idea: verify the USB port you're using. You might want to test with a different port or directly connect through the motherboard.

Before installing, make sure to install the wifi driver. The dongle might not work with Windows 10. Its age is unknown. Do you have a photo of it?

The stick functions well on Windows 10, my previous setup should work fine. USB ports operate without problems, and other devices show no issues. I believe I’ll have to use an Ethernet cable and move it across the room to reach the port—it seems like the only viable option at the moment.

Check if it's linked to the front panel USB ports or the rear SB ports. Consider using the rear ports.
