New CPU+MOBO installed but computer fails to power on
Hello,
I previously shared a problem with my PC but couldn't identify the issue, so I ordered replacement parts. I received the Mobo and CPU, but after installation the computer doesn't respond properly. The screen remains black and won't show the BIOS startup screen. The CPU LED on the motherboard stays on continuously, and the DRAM LED keeps flashing. I've faced similar problems with this machine before, and it's something unusual I haven't encountered before.
I attempted to run the PC using a single RAM stick, but the issue persists. If someone more experienced could offer guidance, I would really appreciate it.

Yes, but I'm also using extension cables from Amazon since the original ones didn't reach the CPU and ATX power slots. Could this be a possible issue? I looked up online before buying them and others said it shouldn't be a problem, but I'm not very sure about these details.
Cable extensions might indicate an issue with product quality or its absence.
Reflecting on the past, did any cables include the Thermaltake SFX850 PSU? It wasn't visible or referenced in the link provided to the buyer.

A follow-up note mentions "RAM: Crucial 16GB DDR5-4800 (two sticks)". Is this referring to a 2 x 8GB RAM package?
I plan to run the PC tomorrow without the cable extensions to test its performance. The PSU came with all necessary cables, but they were too short. I also have a spare 450W, 12-pin power connector cable that I havenāt used before in past builds, though Iām not sure of its purpose. I can capture a photo later if needed.

I wouldn't opt for the spare "450W" cables from another modular PSU. Not mainly due to wattage or distance, but because of the proprietary connection from the source brand. Note: aren't always suitable for the new power supply. You can easily discover other relevant links. The short length of the cables themselves also seems to indicate cost reductionāat best. It might even suggest the manufacturer didnāt provide any cable details, including lengths, for some reason. Is it still feasible to request a return or replacement for the PSU? If yes, please do so. The PSU is a "critical component" and shouldn't be overlooked. Start here: Take measurements for the required PSU cable lengths. Be aware of the necessary lengths beforehand and search for that information. Hopefully, other ideas and suggestions will appear.
The PSU includes two distinct ATX main power connectors in addition to the 8pin ATX12V connector. Is each of these ATX connectors connected to the PSU, with one being a 10pin and the other an 18pin?
