New CPU installation failed, system not booting.
I just replaced my Ryzen 5 2600 with a Ryzen 7 5800X and RX 6700 XT. My motherboard is B450, but I learned it supports Zen 3 chips. It didn’t work, so I started troubleshooting and eventually found the CPU was the issue. I installed the 2600 and updated the BIOS to version 1.2.0.7. Removed the old chip and installed the new one, but it still didn’t work. I checked for bent or missing pins, none found. Verified the arrow orientation is correct. My current setup includes: MSI B450 Tomahawk Ryzen 7 5800X, NZXT Kraken X73 cooler, Corsair Vengeance 3200, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Corsair RM 750, SSD with Windows 10 64-bit.
Are you sure the system is running properly after flashing the BIOS on the 2600? With your new card installed, try loading clear CMOS one stick at a time and see if you can get a successful boot. If needed, remove all unnecessary components except the board, CPU, and RAM stick to test the latest BIOS version.
