Received a new CORSAIR RM750e from newegg, plugged in to the wall. The fan isn't turning on—should I check if it should activate when the power switch is pressed? I need more details. I connected the 24-pin connector to MB and PSU, as well as the CPU cable to MB and PSU. Turned on the PSU, but nothing happens; the fan remains off.

This action activates the switch located at the rear of the PSU and then presses the power button on the PC.

did not install PSU - used it outside the case. No fan activation.

You should mimic the PC power switch. Search for PSU paper clip test on YouTube.

Found what you said was correct. With the short circuit, it was possible to read power using a DC meter.
