ok, so i go atx and i will leave my strix b450-i behind. my budget is 200€ and so, im used to asus and 20 years or even more (since Pentium 4) i never had a single issue so i plan to keep on asus and also there's a cashback that helps with it. so i ask you guys best option from those models ? Asus strix b450-f - 80.99€ Asus TUF b550 plus gaming - 133.90€ Asus strix b550-f - 159.90€ Asus strix b550-e - 200.90€ I could get the Asus Tuf x570 plus for 174€ or even spend 30€ more over my budget and get the asus strix x570-f for 229.90€ but i dont like chipset coolers they are allways loud. Thanks Board to pair with Ryzen 5 3600x Sapphire Pulse 5700xt 16 gb gskill trident Z neo 3600mhz WD black SN 750 m.2 1tb
Both b550 Strix models seem appealing, quite similar to what I expected. The b550-f appears to be a stronger choice, while the TUF could work too. The Strix boards offer extra perks that justify the cost in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend the b450 because it doesn't support PCIe 4.0.
I’d consider the B550-F for gaming unless you require more than one PCI-E 16x port, then opt for the “E” variant. Overall it’s similar to the X570, with better BIOS support than the TUF model. The B450-F falls short in VRM performance, though still a solid board, but with less power output. For memory upgrades, this kit would be preferable. Or at least using a different color for that part number.
Chipset fans are quieter now, they’ll be better in the future... However, except for that, I don’t need an X570, I don’t do heavy overclocks. I have a 3600X which I run up to 4425MHz on 1.421 vscore, it’s fully stable (no crashes) and max temperature stays around 70°C during gaming. I’m not sure if I’ll upgrade to a 3600X with a 3800X now, which would cost about 300€. But I probably won’t see more than 5-10 FPS compared to what I have now, so it doesn’t seem worth it. That’s why I chose to stay at the 550MHz.
