I put together a fresh PC... Just upgraded one main part. Last year I did the same, but I couldn’t afford a GPU until now.

Current Build Details
Ryzen 5 3600
ASUS RTX 3060 12gb
Corsair 16gb DDR4 3200mhz
2 TB WDC HDD
250gb Samsung EVO SSD
Corsair 220t RGB chassis
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
4 RGB SP120 fans (3 intake, 1 exhaust)
Corsair RM650x PSU

My power supply is 650w. I’ve seen many estimates online from sites like PCpartpicker and Asus Power Supply Estimate. One suggested around 350w, another around 550w. I think my PSU is sufficient, but now things are a bit uncertain. I invested a lot in these parts too—I got an ASUS tuf 1440p curved monitor—and I wanted some varied advice before settling. Thanks to anyone who can help.

EDIT*
The top fan stopped working because I lacked enough headers, so I had to buy a splitter. Now it’s functioning properly.

RM650X can handle an RTX 3060 at 170W without issues. The Ryzen 5 3600 (65W) uses very little power compared to what's achievable. The rest of the components are minimal. I think your system would use around 350W during heavy use, which is a good middle range for a 650W setup. The RM650X is also quite high-end.

Thanks! I’m still getting used to PCs, which makes me a bit worried about all the different numbers... I think the 550 is likely based on whether I overclock the CPU and the 3060. Thanks again for your help!

It would be difficult to push the system that far. Nvidia enforces strict power constraints, and Ryzen processors gain limited advantage from overclocking, making it not very worthwhile to run high voltages.
