New Build problems
My 12-year-old son and I are setting up his first gaming computer. We have completed the installation and reached the BIOS menu. At first, trying to install Windows OS11 64bit X22 showed we didn’t meet the system requirements, but after double-checking, we think we do. The advice was to update the motherboard using the BIOS settings. We visited ASUS, downloaded the ROG STRIX B650-A GAMING WIFI BIOS 1807, extracted it and created the installation media with the installer. Following the instructions in the BIOS, I selected the file and it seemed to install without any errors or messages (according to my son). He shut down before I could see it, then we tried turning it back on—but nothing works. The computer starts up but there’s no monitor, keyboard, or mouse. What’s happening and how can we fix this? I probably made a mistake by changing the BIOS settings. I’m running out of time on YouTube. Please help me.
Here is the setup list:
- ROG STRIX B650-A GAMING WIFI
- AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D
- Lurker V360 360mm liquid CPU cooler
- Red Dragon 850W RGB power supply
- GEFORCE RTX 4060
- SSD
- Samsung 990 Pro series – 2TB PCIe Gen 4 X4 NVMe 2.0c M.2 internal SSD
- 4 CORSAIR Dominator platinum RGB DDR5 RAM 64 GB
Initially, this setup combines an extremely powerful CPU with a more affordable GPU, creating an uneven configuration. Additionally, the power supply unit is subpar and should be swapped out right away. RGB PSUs are generally of poor quality and pose potential fire risks.
