New build not starting
Problem
New build, pressing start button does nothing.
Hardware:
Asus prime ap201
TUF Gaming B650M plus WiFi
AMD 7800X3D
Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360
RX 580 8gb (reused)
NZXT C650 Gold
Samsung 970 Evo plus
2x Corsair Vengeance 16gb 5600mhz
What I know:
Front IO is working
Rear USB is working
GPU LED turns red without direct PSU power and white with power
No LEDs on the motherboard (but I can't find any info about it in the manual except the qLed but no power indicator)
What I've tried:
Swapping PSU from old working system (Corsair RM650x)
Swapping CMOS from old system
Jumping the starter switch header
Reseating RAM and swapping positions
I don't know what else to try.. Everything seems to be getting power just fine...
Switching CMOS refers to the process of changing the memory retention settings. Have you considered taking out the RX 580 and utilizing the built-in video controller?
Thank you for the link, but it seems there are no LEDs initially. Also, nothing mentions that there are no LEDs.
Attempted updating to the latest non-beta release but received no response 😟
Is it necessary to reset CMOS following a BIOS update? This should be done every time. You'll find two pins marked CLRTC, which you should short using a screwdriver.
