I moved from
Gigabyte H310M S2H with i3-8100 CPU
to an ASUS PRIME B760M-A D4, Corsair VENGEANCE LPX DDR4 16GB (2x8GB) 3200MHz CL16 Intel XMP 2.0 iCUE compatible computer memory - Black (CMK16GX4M2E3200C16), an Intel Core i7-12700KF Gaming Desktop Processor with up to 5.0 GHz, Unlocked LGA1700 600 Series Chipset and 125W power supply, along with a Western Digital 500GB WD Blue 3D NAND internal PC SSD - SATA III 6 Gb/s, M.2 2280 interface, supporting speeds up to 560 MB/s.
The old motherboard's working boot drive, a 4TB traditional HD and an NVME drive, wasn't detected in the M.2 slot covered by the heatsink, even after adding extra rubber or placing it in the uncovered slot. The computer failed to enter BIOS.
These problems often lead me to wish I had purchased a pre-built machine, but I just can't resist... Please help! Thank you.
During your BIOS access, did the SSD appear as a recognized device? Additionally, are you currently relying solely on the built-in GPU?
It didn't appear at all, just the hard drive and optical drive. I'm using a new 3060 that was functioning properly.
Transfer NVME to another machine and let it start after some time. I'm hoping for success.
