New Build Encountering IDE Startup Issues / Kernel Crash During Q Code Execution
Working with a fresh NAS project inspired by Linus, I checked all components against ASUS compatibility but faced boot issues after selecting the install option from the USB drive. The system typically fails with A0 post code. According to the Q Code table, IDE initialization started, yet it crashes immediately. I moved the NVMe drives, unplugged all SATA drives, and even used only one NVMe, but nothing worked. The A0 code appears on the motherboard and sometimes triggers a kernel panic or blank screen. Thinking it was a hardware problem, I returned it and got a new unit, but the issue persists. Any suggestions for troubleshooting next? Mobo: ASUS Pro WS W680-ACE.
