I’m confident I can persuade my son to spend the extra money—he won’t upgrade for years, so a few more dollars now won’t change much in the long term. Still, I need some clarification on a few points.
Regarding the CPU, I understand that both major brands often debate which is better at any given time. Will an 8-core AMD chip last several years?
With the graphics card, I know the two leading manufacturers sometimes favor one over the other each day. I’ve been reading extensively to adjust myself to the latest hardware. It seems like the conversation right now is mainly about Nvidia. Is this just because they’re releasing a new line soon? How does the RX 7900 XT compare to the RTX 5070 Ti? Should we wait for that release instead?
