Hi everyone,
do you have any concerns about purchasing an R5 7600X (5200MHz) with an ASRock B650M PRO RS motherboard (6200MHz max) and DDR5 CL32 RAM at 6400MHz? Will the CPU's maximum frequency limit how high I can run the RAM? I'm considering a 6000MHz or 6200MHz option, but this 6400MHz model is more affordable. The only advice I've found online is to stick with 6200MHz if the motherboard supports it.

You can operate the RAM at a reduced frequency. Check the manufacturer's site for the MMO to verify compatibility. For an AMD configuration, search for EXPO RAM.

Thanks for the updates. The RAM is compatible with Intel XMP 3.0. What impact would switching to a 6000MHz CL30 with AMD EXPO have? I’m considering it compared to my current setup.

This article provides a concise overview for your reference.
For years, AMD has backed XMP profiles, while EXPO is designed to cater to Intel processors.
Keep in mind that the RAM speed will remain at 4800 unless you activate EXPO or modify your RAM's timing and voltage settings manually.

Thanks a lot, I just thought it was obvious because it looked better, was more affordable, and would really boost my performance. Appreciate the information.
