New beginning preparation guide with 10 questions!
I need to reinstall Windows 10 using the Defender Startup option because I’m having issues. I want to make sure my programs stay safe and secure. I own two 2X1 TB SSDs—one is the boot device (no RAID) and the other is a separate drive. There’s also a 2TB Seagate external drive. I have Steam, Uplay, and other apps set up perfectly for me, but I want to protect everything. My second SSD is almost empty. Can you guide me on securing all my data?
You can store all your preferences in Vegas and other applications; Steam retains your saves so even after unplugging drives during formatting, it will locate the installed games when you reinstall Steam with the same installation folder. Uplay and Origin function similarly, maintaining settings across most titles (save in main games). I suggest ninite.com for bulk installation of all your programs.
That’s completely unreasonable. It’s already facing a steep decline in backing, and many projects will cease to receive it. Plus, there’s no compatibility with the latest DirectX releases.
