About two or three months ago I managed to get the maximum performance from my internet connection (100mbps download, 50mbps upload). Nowadays I’m lucky if it runs smoothly at around 5mbps. I’ve already performed a network reset, switched my DNS settings, and restarted the modem. My laptop remains in the same spot as before those problems started, though I do wish to point fingers at my drivers. Here’s what occurred during one of my troubleshooting steps... I went back to an older version of the Qualcomm network drivers, and right away I achieved the full speed tested on Ookla SpeedTest. Windows asked me to restart once the device manager pop-ups appeared, which I did. When I returned to my system, I still couldn’t maintain those speeds. I realize it’s not just my internet connection, because I can reach those speeds perfectly on my iPhone in the same location. I’m unsure what to do next, any advice would be extremely valuable.
