You recently assembled your PC, yet internet speeds were extremely low—maximum 5 Mbps while network usage reached 80%. I've explored many fixes you might have seen online, but none resolved the issue. Could you share more details or try alternative approaches?

And you don't have anything else on the computer downloading stuff in the background? Usually that process is a system process for downloading stuff.

I’m only able to download Forza Horizon 5 at a slow speed right now. I’ll look again after it finishes, just in case there are other solutions I can try.

During installation, did you also add any additional software? Sometimes drivers come bundled with gaming tools like Realtek, which claim to boost internet performance but often limit download speeds instead. This practice is referred to as gaming prioritization or Quality of Service settings in disguise.

Do you understand what the Windows Software Distribution service is? In short, Microsoft uses your internet connection to download and distribute updates to other users. You can turn this off in the settings. Look up "Windows Software Distribution" and you’ll find it quickly. Good luck!
