Hello, regarding the recent Windows 10 update I encountered some issues with my PC, mainly related to Wi-Fi connectivity. Both my Wi-Fi cards are experiencing high ping or timeouts when communicating with my router. I own a Sitecom WiFi USB Adapter N150 and a Realtek 8821AE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC (which I recently purchased because the USB was failing). Below are some screenshots from my ping tests for both my PC and my Android phone. The goal was to confirm the router's malfunction, as the results matched on both devices during the same test. The PC test was performed after installing the latest drivers, but the problem persisted even without manual installation. The PCI card issue is also present, as it’s a plug-and-play device with outdated online drivers compared to the ones I installed. Could anyone suggest possible causes or solutions? Please share any further details and I’ll get back to you quickly! Thanks!

Wireless connections will always lag behind wired ones. Still, if you must go wireless, keep the distance between your router and card clear of obstacles. A USB-based adapter adds extra delay compared to a PCIe card. For faster performance, opt for 5 GHz 802.11ac WiFi—though it may slightly shrink the router’s coverage area. When using the 2.4 GHz band, select a less congested channel to improve signal strength.

I only have a short wall separating me from my router, and neither my router nor my USB supports 5 GHz. The problem began after an update—now I can’t revert to the earlier version. I haven’t moved my PC or adapter, and it’s still functioning properly for over four years!
