Hi All,
I've experienced problems with my PC recently, where internet speed drops significantly within about 30 to 40 minutes after turning it on.
I use a Wi-Fi setup because I don't have an Ethernet connection and my motherboard isn't compatible with Wi-Fi.
For instance, when playing an online MOBA game, I had perfect ping until around 30-40 minutes, after which the ping jumped to 1000 and the connection would drop unless I restarted the PC.
The problem has gradually gotten worse, now lasting only 10 to 15 minutes before requiring a restart, especially if I'm doing heavy internet tasks like streaming.
I've tried updating the network drivers several times, which sometimes fixes the issue for a few hours but then it returns.
My system runs Windows 10, AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM, and it's a PC that's three years old.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
PSU: specifications, model, power rating, age, condition (original to build, new, refurbished, used)?
Model and make: modem, router, or combined device?
Number of network devices?
WiFi adapter make and model?
Inspect the wireless adapter before gaming. Then during gameplay, monitor if it becomes excessively hot.

Open Task Manager and Resource Monitor to track performance.
Use each tool separately but only one at a time.
Keep the window open for observation.
Watch system resources while playing, noting usage patterns and resource consumption, particularly when internet lag appears.

I truly value your prompt response. From a PSU perspective, I’m uncertain about the model, but it’s a 750W Power Supply that arrived new with the PC (pre-built). Additional details: AMD B350M M-ATX Motherboard. System specs: MD Ryzen 5 3500X | RTX 2070 Super 8GB. I can rule out wireless adapter problems since I recently swapped my old one, and the issue remains. It also isn’t a modem problem, as I’ve moved houses, changed modems, and all other devices function perfectly on Wi-Fi. I’ve checked resource monitoring and Task Manager, finding nothing unusual.
