Kids isn't strictly divided but has parental controls and usage limits set up, so it operates on its own Wi-Fi network. They can reach the media server and plex server through the main network. The IoT network is separate, with two Shark Vacs and a few other devices. I can connect to this network via the main one, but that network can't reach the others. I also have a guest network that's segmented and has limited bandwidth.
The Unifi Cloud Gateway offers a lot of features for just $279. You're unlikely to find anything comparable.

I chose to stop using the synologys. I purchased an Asus GT BE98Pro as the primary router and a RT be58u for mesh in the far garage. I believe this setup covers all my connectivity requirements well.
