Hello everyone! Let me think this through. If you set up a 10-switch network board and connect your modem, each switch cable will handle its own bandwidth based on the configuration. The total speed won’t be split evenly across all cables—each switch gets its own channel, so downloads and uploads will be assigned to individual ports. That means your 80 Mbps download and 12 Mbps upload won’t be divided among multiple cables; instead, each switch will manage its own data rate. Thanks for asking! Callum

The 80/12 allocation will be divided among all active connections as needed. For example, if two PCs require 45 down and 8 up, each will be reduced to 40 down and 6 up.

Thanks for the prompt reply! I think 15 Mbps should be sufficient for online gaming on both PC and consoles.

I think that there's a misunderstanding here: the 80Mbps bandwidth isn't split between the cables, it's split between however devices you have using the Internet. If you only have a single PC using the Internet, then it gets the whole 80Mbps, even if you have 10 cables connected to the switch. Similarly, if you have 10 devices, all trying to use Internet simultaneously, the bandwidth will be split between them, but only when they're actively using the Internet.

Sure, online games usually cost less than a few dollars in most cases.
