Hi, your setup seems to be causing some issues. Before purchasing the XR300, you had a standard modem/router with UK setup, achieving about 400Mbps download speeds. Switching to a wired connection via a power line adapter in your game room only gave around 100Mbps. When you put the gateway in modem mode, streaming stops on your smart TV. Removing it from modem mode restores double nat speed. You also mentioned using a 30m Ethernet cable. It might help to check if the cable length or quality is affecting performance. Consider testing with a different cable or consulting the manufacturer for compatibility details.

Initially the power line adapter might lead to performance problems. It isn't an Ethernet device and has certain restrictions. Home wiring, adapter placement, and shared circuits can create challenges for these adapters. Regarding your bridge mode concerns on the gateway, I’m not sure what’s happening. In many parts of the world here in the US, we can purchase our own gear without needing a low-quality setup. That’s why I haven’t faced bridge mode issues before. It could stem from a router misconfiguration if you’re still having trouble connecting, or it might be enabled on your gateway. I heard a friend struggled with adjusting settings on Comcast’s gateway recently.
