Hi forums, I'm facing some trouble setting up my home network. After resetting the modem and router, I went through the configuration but the online interface isn't showing up. Instead, it prompts me to auto-update the firmware, and once I click that, the screen stays blank with a message about missing data. I've tried connecting via phone, laptop, Wi-Fi, and even through a wired connection, but the app only lets me connect without any options for setup. The router model I'm using is the R7000. Is there a way to fix this issue, or does it seem like a problem with the device? Thanks in advance for your help!

I persisted, and my phone now indicated an update of settings. With a progress indicator beside it, I assumed I was nearing completion after four hours, but it reset to the homepage displaying only the logo, and there was a section meant for content that wasn’t visible. I’m left at the beginning again, unsure how to resolve this issue.

Not sure if this will help, but the 30-30-30 reset could be useful. You keep pressing the reset button for 30 seconds, then hold it while unplugging the router for 30 seconds, and finally plug it back in while still holding the button for another 30 seconds. This seems to clear things up. That’s all I have to go on. Alternatively, if it’s under warranty, you might try that approach. If the reset fails, I’d say the router could be damaged.

Set up via cable or the 2.4GHz wireless network... unless you're already doing it.

I attempted it. I understand the process. Yet after five hours it suddenly started working once I opened the online configuration page on my phone again. I don’t know what changed this time, but it just happened without warning...
