You're definitely not alone in wanting to enjoy Netflix! Here are some solid points you can share with your mom:

- It offers a huge variety of shows and movies, so you can find something for every mood.
- You can watch content anytime, anywhere—perfect for late-night binge-watching or commuting.
- Many original series and exclusive titles aren’t available anywhere else.
- It has great recommendations based on your viewing history.
- You can pause, rewind, and rewatch episodes without missing anything.
- It supports multiple devices, so you can stream on TV, phone, tablet, or computer.
- There are often special deals and discounts for students or families.

These arguments should help make your case for Netflix win!

Many films and series feature a handful of Netflix originals woven in. What else could you ask for?

It's a premium offering. If you like it, the investment makes sense. I didn't feel comfortable paying the rates they were proposing after the increase or split, so I canceled my subscription and haven't revisited it. Among Hulu, Crackle, and Amazon Prime, I have all the options I could need, plus more. That was a completely off topic comment.

I was showing her just how inexpensive it was compared to cable, renting, or purchasing films individually. It really made sense.

Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Amazon Prime cost $25 each month. Cable with a few hundred channels is $60 monthly. Cable offers only replays with no control over what you see. These options let you choose what and when you watch. You can also rewind, fast forward, pause, etc.

The explanation is clear. Cable seems to be falling out of favor. The alternatives available don’t match the convenience of streaming services like Netflix.
