I'm using an MSI B550 Gaming Plus with Lian Li SL120 fans. The fans aren't showing up in BIOS or the Lian Li app. All three installed fans are working fine, but I can't change lights or fan speed. They follow a simple rainbow shift pattern. I'm new to computers and haven't overheated the PC. The motherboard only supports JRGB and Jrainbow headers—no ARGB. I don't have images, but if you can share ones showing the connectors, it would help.
Absolutely not. Each company has its own approach. This is why I steer clear of RGB. ATX remains a norm while RGB was once common but quickly faded as manufacturers lost interest. They were limited to RGB functionality. An RGB standard was established by the original lighting producers, who understood this industry long ago. Lighting has been around for a while and they learned from past mistakes. You might get them to rotate using BIOS settings if you disregard RGB entirely. Unless the integration of fan and RGB pins has been achieved. Typically, they stay distinct or were always that way. ICUE could be another option—it’s from Corsair and sometimes handles tasks across different brands. It’s possible it could work with both. Updated December 29, 2022 by Bombastinator
