Needs guidance on overclocking Intel HD 620.
Hello! Thanks for finding my question.
I would like to overclock my GPU.
I am aware, that this process might damage my laptop and invalidate my warranty. I have downloaded the IETU tool and I am looking forward to increase performance of my graphic chip.
Laptop details:
HP Pavilion Intel Core i5 7th gen 7200u, 8GB ram. Intel HD Graphics 620.

Would you be so kind and suggest what would be the (safe) level of overclocking the GPU?
How far push the sliders etc.
A couple extra FPS (in stress situation) in games like WoW would be amazing!
PS. My apologies for my grammar.
THANKS!
I'm sorry for my poor English, but I'm writing this because I thought it might help you. I hope it works.
I have the same specifications as yours and attempted to raise the graphics settings by +1.0 across all available options on XTU from 31.00 (default) to 32.00, but it didn't make any difference even in my laptop's temperature. I tested FPS before and after, and the numbers stayed the same—minimum, maximum, and average.
After many attempts to boost the HD 620 performance, I discovered something remarkable: the VRAM from the Intel HD 620 could actually be increased from 128MB to 256 (I believe that's the maximum supported).

I understand you're aiming to overclock a notebook, but first consider purchasing a high-quality cooling pad. Even then, I wouldn't prefer that approach. It's better to fine-tune your system or adjust settings on your graphics controller. Also, knowing the temperatures during gameplay or browsing would be very useful.
I'm truly sorry for my poor English, but I'm writing this because I believed it might assist you. I hope it works out as expected.
I have identical specifications to yours and attempted to raise the graphics setting by +1.0 across all available options on XTU from 31.00 (default) to 32.00. However, it had no effect even when checking my laptop's temperature. I ran benchmarks in two games and found no change in min, max, or average frame rates.
After many attempts to enhance the performance of my HD 620, I discovered something remarkable: the VRAM from the Intel HD 620 could be increased from 128MB to 256MB (I think that's the upper limit supported).

Be sure to note that he sets the value to 512 on the box meant for the new VRAM, which then shows 1298. However, this is not the actual VRAM you'll receive—your system will only reach the maximum supported (256MB), even if you try values higher than that.
Before proceeding, I strongly suggest benchmarking games' maximum FPS to verify any improvements. Don't worry about it being a risky overclock; it's simply swapping a bit of RAM for VRAM. But let's call it a "Safe Overclock" at most.
In most of my games, I experienced an 8-10 FPS increase after making this change, while keeping my temperature steady at 45°C (well within the safe range of 70°C in-game).
