I recently assembled a brand new setup with these parts: Ryzen 5 3600, MSI B450M Mortar Titanium, Sapphire RX580 Nitro+, Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 with 2x8GB RAM, Crucial P1 NVME, Crucial BX500 SSD, and Corsair RM550X. All components are brand new. I constructed the machine and tried to update the BIOS using M-Flash. At first it failed—LEDs flashed a few times before stabilizing. Then I switched USB ports and re-downloaded the BIOS, using the Titanium page instead of the regular one. On the second attempt, the flashing seemed successful (LEDs lit for a few minutes before shutting off), but when I tried to boot, nothing appeared on the screen and the CPU debug LED stayed on. I attempted to clear CMOS and flash again, but no change. Should I be able to update the motherboard with the new CPU already installed? It seems possible based on the flashing process, though I’m still unsure. This is my first build in over 15 years, so I’m quite uncertain about what’s happening.

Which BIOS version were you running? Download the Beta BIOS from MSI here: https://www.msi.com/blog/the-latest-bios...otherboard. Mention that mortar and mortar titanium require different BIOS versions, so ensure you use the titanium edition.

Thank you for the update. The beta BIOS worked perfectly, and it seems the previous Titanium version wasn't functioning as expected.

Hi, I'm facing the same issue with flashing a B450M mortar titanium for 3600X. After updating the BIOS, the LED near the flash button blinks for five minutes with the CPU debug LED too. When I briefly turn it on and off, the fans spin but nothing appears on the screen. I've tried BIOS versions like 7B89vA7 and the latest 7B89vAB1 (beta). What BIOS version were you using? EDIT: Problem resolved after another attempt with the latest BIOS flash. Thanks!
