I’m planning to upgrade my Windows 10 laptop using Linux. If something doesn’t work, it should be fine, but just in case I don’t have a Windows 10 installation media, how could I reinstall a brand new version?

Get the ISO file and create a disk or USB drive from it.

Your setup is tied to your Microsoft account. That’s why it activates when you log in on your device.

I purchased the used laptop, and my account information is included since it was factory reset at the time of purchase. Should everything be fine? Thank you.
