Need to improve my GPU, CPU and MOBO performance to prevent bottlenecks
Or to simplify things, you don’t have to stress about bottlenecks if your CPU and GPU outperform your monitor’s output. For instance, the 6750XT can easily achieve over 120 fps in most games at 2560 X 1080. The same applies to the 12400F. On the CPU side, resolution isn’t a concern. You can observe the 12400 delivering around 142 FPS at 1080p (here, lower resolutions help assess CPU performance) The 6750XT provides about 105 FPS in ultra 1080p. So the 12400F is limited by the 6750XT. However, if you turn on FSR or accept free sync, you should face no problems.
Well shiiiiiiiii man. Learning about GPUs makes me want to save up for them. I enjoy the concept of AV1 encoding. While I preferred an AMD card because compositors work better with AMD and many programs run smoothly on those, AV1 might be useful for VR streaming on Windows. The RDNA3 seems like a solid advancement for AMD. I think it's worth holding off until I can afford it.
Based on that description, my main issue is with the monitor since most things run at 200 in 1440p right now. I prefer having a GPU/CPU that can handle it easily without needing a new one. 4k isn't really important to me, and I've had it before. The only reason I'm considering upgrading the monitor now is for HDR, which I can wait for.
X Defiant doesn't seem to expect much.
It's better to save for a better GPU if you have the patience.
The 4060 was a joke when it came out.
When it came out, wasn't it still a joke? I checked it and the only reason I thought about it was because of DLSS 3.0. I believe the 6750 xt beats the TI version of the card, or at least for some of the tests I saw.
