Need tips for improving the 3600hz voltage in Corsair vengeance?
I recently installed a new Corsair RAM, 32GB at 3600MHz. As a beginner, I’m still adjusting to computer systems. I researched how to enable the maximum RAM speed (activating XMP), so I could use the frequency my RAM came with. But after some gaming sessions, my PC would randomly restart. I thought it was a one-time issue, so I resumed playing and after about half an hour it restarted again. I suspect the problem is related to my RAM, as it worked fine before. My current voltage is 1.38V, which seems normal. I don’t intend to overclock and didn’t want to restrict my speed since I originally bought it at 3600MHz. How can I fix this? If I missed anything, I’ll let you know.
Request another kit you purchased XMP for it to be set up with just one click and automatic operation. If it fails this, it appears defective. You might be getting used OEM bare PCBs with good ICS that will run at 3800-4000 (AMD) or around 4200 (Intel). This could ruin the 3600 kit while being more affordable since you don’t need to buy 3200/3600 XMP just for it to work at the advertised speed. How many stick configurations are you using? Since 4 stick mixes match with 2 kits makes sense, XMP isn’t working due to mismatched ICS but a single stick setup is fully responsible.
