I spotted a solid offer on a 5930K and an ASUS X99 Pro. For RAM, consider upgrading to at least 16GB to ensure smooth performance with the CPU's memory controller.

Choose the most affordable package. Even at 3000/3200MHz, it will still drop to 2133MHz. After that, you can manually increase their speed.

There are options like the 2133/2400 cl15 or cl14 kit available.

I’d avoid used RAM modules. I’m confident the slowest consumer DDR4 RAM still available is 3200 MHz. You might want to check refurbished options from places that dismantle servers. In the EU, they usually offer a one-year warranty. If it functions for a year, there’s a good chance it will last until the platform becomes obsolete.

The fastest option is 2133@cl15, but I’d go for that. 2400mhz works too. 2666 might be simpler now since OEMs use it more.

In Europe or North America it might be Asia, but I don't think so. The server is a solid choice, and I can't secure a warranty even for brand new RAM.

They’re affordable and widely available, though I didn’t locate a 2400 cl 15 kit anywhere.

I come from the EU, so the availability of hardware isn't ideal... Perhaps by exploring more deeply I'll discover a seller offering 2666 units, though that seems uncertain.
