Beginning with that setup... you'll need a completely new PC. Begin here: *How to Request New Build or Upgrade Guidance* Requesting New Build or Upgrade Guidance Initially, acknowledge the proper place for such requests - this adaptation comes from the Animal's *How To Ask For New Build Advice* Sticky. I developed it since many people are now seeking upgrade advice both on this site and in CPU forums, and I believe... forums.

The system didn't allow changes because it was locked in place, preventing modifications like swapping the motherboard or RAM.

You would only retain the case.
Generally, it's one of the cheaper components in a setup.

Spend around $65-85 and it would be a hold over until you fully upgrade.
32 Gb of memory is roughly $35 for four 8GB sticks on amazon.com.
Add a used GTX 1060 6 Gb for $30 on offerup.
The GTX 1060 matches the GTX 1660 but costs about $80 used. I chose the GTX 1060 to avoid further strain on your budget.
Use Rufus to create an installer for Windows 11 that bypasses TPM chip requirements, letting you run Windows 11 unregistered without cost.
These small adjustments will significantly improve the performance of your aging machine.
It won’t be a gaming machine, but it’ll perform better than its current state.

Microsoft offers a way to adjust the registry for certain needs. If you don’t already have an SSD, it’s affordable now and can give your computer a fresh feel.

I haven't heard of Timetec prior. Is it known for reliability? I need to order DDR3, and I'd like to get DDR4 as well.
