Need some help? I just completed setting up my new computer.
I worked on it for hours and finally connected it. After five minutes there was no response. I checked other monitors I usually use for Xbox and still nothing. Tried various cables but nothing worked either. I removed the GPU and tested only the CPU (i5-12600kf) on the motherboard—still no output. This chip doesn’t have graphics, yet it shouldn’t prevent a post. I’m still stuck. What should I do? I put in a lot of time over the weekend. Here’s my spec sheet:
Since you're running a KF chip without integrated graphics, it won't post properly without a GPU. Once the GPU is installed, observe the POST status LEDs to identify the bottleneck. They'll cycle through CPU, RAM, GPU, and Boot stages. If any component is faulty, the corresponding LED will stay illuminated.
There isn't much information here. It might be due to faulty components or improper installation. Verify the debug LEDs on your motherboard; consulting the documentation can help identify potential issues. These checks should help reduce the possibilities.
The two frequent issues are: 1) RAM isn’t fully installed 2) I overlooked the secondary power connector near the CPU. I’d remove the RAM and reinsert it carefully (it can require a lot of pressure to secure it) and then verify that the ATX12v power cables are correctly connected (above the CPU on the left).
