You can safely transfer your Vista PC by backing up all important files first. Then use a tool like DiskPart or Windows Recovery Environment to erase the drive and restore the OS from a clean installation media. If you're unsure, consider using a reputable third-party utility that lets you wipe without deleting the system. Always back up data before proceeding.

The issue starts with Vista running. If it's still using Vista, that's a warning sign—it means the system is outdated and likely unreliable. Without access to the key or an entry point, it's nearly worthless. I’d probably replace the hard drive, switch to a fresh OS, or at least take a deep breath... pirate one.

Consider trying to download Belarc. This will provide your Windows Vista key. Retrieve the Windows Vista ISO (if available) and create a bootable CD or USB drive. Clear the HDD. Proceed with the fresh Vista installation using the CD/USB key.
