My friends and many experienced gamers typically use around 800dpi in Full HD. However, I often work with about 2400dpi for general purposes and have been gaming for years. This might be affecting my accuracy as a sniper. Could you suggest ways to adjust or adapt to lower resolutions? Also, moving the mouse under 1000dpi seems uncomfortable for me.

800dpi is typical for FPS titles, but it demands more screen space for smooth movement. Reducing DPI causes discomfort.

I'm not familiar with it. It might take around 10 years for me to adjust by moving the cursor with just my wrist.

It's still unclear to me why this causes confusion.

I generally shoot at around 2300 dpi, though I have a mouse button that changes it to 100 for sniping purposes.

Really.Mine is a G502 model. It's not exactly a headache, but it can be a bit bothersome.

The G502 features a dedicated sniper button located on the right side, performing identical functions.

If that were causing you real distress, it might be wise to consult a professional, as there could be a serious issue.

the dpi has little impact since it's set to 2000 by default on windows, giving 0.38 for cs go and 1.6 in overwatch

Avoid using your wrist—it can cause harm and reduces precision compared to the elbow. Opt for a large mouse pad with 400 or 800 DPI and tweak sensitivity settings as required. Perfectly, you should be able to perform a full 360° movement across your entire left-to-right motion (unrestricted).
