The original question focused on the quality of MSI compared to ASUS, and I believe it has been adequately addressed. It’s disappointing to hear about Asus, but I work with another company that operates globally. Their service quality has declined significantly since 2021, and this trend is becoming more common.
Regarding the prebuilt units I was considering, I’m likely to skip them. The PSU has been the biggest factor in my decision—I don’t like dealing with faulty parts or issues caused by a weak PSU. I’ve had a recent outage and no longer have the patience for it.

When you avoid doing the work yourself, reaching out to nearby PC or laptop repair shops typically works well if you place your order ahead of time so you know exactly what you'll receive.
