I executed Chkdsk /f /r but it froze at 12% and I forced a restart while ignoring it through the Start menu. It wasn’t found in the Registry—use Regedit to verify. Since Windows appears functional, it seems no critical issue was caused. You may need to disable it from another method if needed.
There are a few issues detected in the registry. It's unclear if using a registry repair tool would assist, but the fix included with my BitDefender package seems to work well for this task.
It checks and fixes, storage performed well. Quick SMART test shows everything looks okay. Hope the OS and disk are stable.
The issue began with an NFS error early this morning, though it happened just once.
I gave it a few hours of adjustment. Perhaps I should have let it sit longer.
I found the easiest solution by keeping the hard drive below 70% full. Issues keep happening when I run defrag with Auslogics Disk Defrag. Bitdefender helps me resolve any registry problems. I don’t need to stress too much about it.
