Need help with bios? Building a $4k PC is a big project!
Hello, I hope someone can understand what I’m going through. The setup I have includes a motherboard from MSI MPG Z690 with DDR5 Force, an Intel I9 13900k CPU, a GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card, 32GB of DDR5 Corsair Dominator 6000mts RAM, a 1kW Corsair power supply, a Corsair iCue H100i Elite 240mm liquid cooler, two 2TB SSDs, and a 4TB HDD. It seems like a solid configuration on paper. When I lower the settings, the gameplay runs smoothly with good frame rates and high-end graphics. However, at full performance, my PC struggles and sometimes crashes. The error messages keep changing. I’ve tried replacing the RAM with Corsair Dominator DDR5, but the problem persists. I’ve also used Intel Extreme Tuning and adjusted the performance core ratio from 55x to 50x. Still, blue screens appear when I don’t change the settings, and resetting the BIOS is necessary after each restart. My only clue is that my RAM isn’t reaching 6000mts speeds either—trying to boost it caused more crashes. At one point, I couldn’t exit the BIOS without resetting back to a previous state. I bought this build from Cyberpower on December 5th, 2022, so it should still be functional. I’m reaching out for advice, possibly from the community, and appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks!
