Whenever I power on my computer, Chrome launches and opens a strange site, which then leads to gamezdoka.org. This happened recently, and I don’t know the source of it.

Microsoft Security Essentials and Avast One are designed to protect against threats, while targeting Avast One aims to eliminate essential components.

Do you have any antivirus software installed right now? If not, or if you prefer not to worry about it, you might want to upgrade ESP and switch to something like Avast. Alternatively, install "malwarebytes antimalware" to help clear any malware on your computer. If that doesn't resolve the issue, try "superantispyware free" to remove any remaining threats. If neither program finds anything suspicious on your hard drives, you may need a more detailed consultation with an expert in the field.

Recommend using Method B for effective removal. Start by launching Malwarebytes in safe mode before initiating the scan.

Avoid simply accessing your C drive or appdata and deleting files without guidance. You might not understand their technical skills, which could lead to lasting system issues. For example, a tech-savvy friend uninstalled a built-in proxy, causing his laptop to lose internet access—eventually requiring a full reinstall via a wired connection. Please review the recent posts for advice; Malwarebytes is highly effective for such tasks.

I used Avast and MalwareBytes, but neither detected anything on my PC. After some research, I couldn't find any logical explanation or relevant information, except for three Russian links about the same virus.

Checked the logs manually for unusual activity in login, window log, services, and scheduled tasks. Made sure to enable filtering and hide entries from MS and Windows views.
