The RAM improvement won't instantly raise your frame rate to 100fps, but there might be something unusual happening, possibly related to the CPU. Did GTA5 run smoothly at 150fps on your setup?

No problem. I received the 1080 today. Prior to that, I had an RX 580 with 4GB of RAM.

But wouldn't it be the case if RAM speed was the issue? I wouldn't label it just yet until we observe higher frame rates from the other party.
