Hello. I recently increased the overclock of an I7 6800K to 4.1ghz and set the RAM to 2600 mhz. The motherboard is a sabertooth X99 with components around one year old. While using my PC, the system froze and had to restart, with nothing appearing. After connecting my phone via TUF software to the motherboard, it reported a Cmos error. I also attempted to flash the latest BIOS using USB flashback, but it didn’t work. I removed the CMOS battery and powered off the computer overnight, but the issue persisted. Could it be the motherboard or the CPU?

D6 isn't really VGA, I believe. I've encountered this odd error before and might resolve it by uninstalling and reinstalling RAM one at a time. Clearing your CMOS after removing the GPU could also help (it's likely onboard graphics). It's a long shot but worth trying before disposing of it in the garden near the cat. Good luck.
