I can't adjust the shared GPU memory from 6 GB to 4 GB. My system has 12 GB total RAM, but one stick is soldered. I've checked BIOS/UEFI settings multiple times without success. The task manager screenshots show issues since my setup includes an HDD and SSD, with the DVD drive removed and the old HDD replaced by a 256 GB SSD. The maximum usage reached was about 1.1 GB, which isn't a concern for me—my main focus is playing EVE Online. I suspect the problem might be clearer in the updated screenshots.

High-quality images are available. A simple share doesn't guarantee interest. No action required.

Those are some awful screenshots. As said above, no need to worry about anything, you have the 12GB available for any programs, and if something requires that much video memory, the iGPU will be able to make use of it, there's no reason to try to mess with that.

A few of my gameplay experiences decline with EVE online when using a single character. Trying alternative approaches might assist, as cache clearing hasn't resolved the issue.

What issues is that causing? Shared memory is shared with the OS and managed by the driver, so unless its causing issues I wouldn't touch it.

Your problem seems to stem from other components besides the RAM. Those specifications aren't ideal, even by current game requirements.

One EVE client is running smoothly without any delays in data loading, while another experiences significant pauses—almost two seconds—when trying to identify a module or item. During undocking, one client shows severe stuttering lasting 10-15 seconds, with frame rates dropping to 0.3–0.68 and latency reaching around 1447ms. I'm considering reducing GPU usage and shifting it to RAM only.

The RAM is being shared because you're only using about 1GB, leaving more available for other processes. It seems you might need a more powerful GPU or system; the sharing setting isn’t likely the problem.

The problem seems limited to just one client, indicating a possible data retrieval or upload issue. The GPU isn’t causing problems even when using 1080p resolution, and achieving smooth 40+ frames per second is quite impressive given the laptop’s age.

Could the problem lie with the CPU or RAM speed? It’s a dual-core, low-power mobile chip from a previous era. I’m not sure the shared RAM is the main cause. What steps have you taken to check for issues with CPU and GPU performance?
