I have a Z270 A pro (msi) and also a rx580 8gb i5 6600k with 16gb RAM, a 256gb M.2 drive and a 2tb HDD. Everything functioned perfectly until I upgraded the PSU from 550w to 750w. After installing everything, it wouldn’t start. I double-checked all connections and even swapped the old PSU with the new one, but it still wouldn’t power on. Once I removed the old drive and tried it in another PC, it worked fine. When I checked my files, the HDD wasn’t recognized. I then moved it to another machine, which also worked. After changing the SATA cables and ensuring no mix-ups with the other PSU, nothing changed. I’ve spent a lot on this setup and am getting frustrated. The only solution left is to update the BIOS, or risk replacing the motherboard?
