Hey everyone, I hope this helps. I'm setting up a new system next to my TV. I already have the NZXT H1 and got a good deal on the ASUS ROG Strix X570-I, which has an AM4 socket. Because of GPU shortages and high prices for decent GPUs, I'm considering APUs now so I can upgrade later when things stabilize. Unfortunately, AMD doesn't have many APUs available right now. I've found two options: the AMD Ryzen 5 3400G for €170 and the AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 4650G for €250. For now, I just need a basic setup to stream videos and play simple games. Any suggestions or alternative options would be great! Thanks a lot! Eelco

I wouldn't recommend taking the 3400G. When the shortage clears, you'll probably end up selling. I'd rather go with the 4650G instead.

They generally perform pretty consistently, the 4650G leading slightly. It’s best to calculate your CPU requirements once you have a dedicated GPU ready, since you can turn off the integrated graphics. If you only need the 6C/12T version, it’s probably enough to purchase that instead.

The Ryzen 5 Pro 4650G offers marginally improved performance, making it a better choice compared to the 3400G.
