Need guidance on selecting the right DDR3 RAM for your old PC
Hello, I have an old Asus Q87M-E motherboard with an i5-4670 and a GTX 1060. It has four DDR3 4G sticks across all slots, totaling 16GB of RAM running Windows 10 LTSC. Some of the sticks are failing, and I’m considering upgrading to 32GB if possible. I need to know if using two 16GB sticks is feasible on this setup. Would it be better to use four 8GB sticks instead? What’s the optimal data rate for 2600? The compatibility list covers all the way to DDR3 3100. I’d appreciate guidance on the most economical and currently available option for a 32GB RAM upgrade right now.

Because you're using Windows 10 LTSC on a large company system, it's likely you're part of an organization. I suggest bringing this up to your IT department.
If you're not working with a corporate machine, your copy of Windows 10 LTSC is likely unauthorized.
