You're experiencing problems with your Alienware's on-board Killer Networking RJ-45 interface. Considering a PCI networking card upgrade seems like a good idea. PCI Express 3.0 is a solid choice for performance. Let me know if you need more suggestions!

For lower speeds than gigabit, simply purchase an affordable card from Amazon. I rely on a budget-friendly EDUP brand card, which functions perfectly.

It's clear that all budget cards are essentially the same. They're likely to use the same Realtek chip. If you need a bit less CPU usage, opt for an Intel-based model, though it probably won't significantly impact gaming or torrenting performance.

Most Intel drivers offer the strongest support, resulting in fewer problems, while Realtek performs well too, with performance varying by OS.
