I recently purchased a TP Link Archer CR700 modem router combo and attempted to forward certain ports for BF5. The instructions indicated specific ranges needed to be opened, but the software refuses to accept a range like 20000-20100—it insists the values must be between 1 and 65535. I’m wondering if there’s a way to identify the required ranges without manually entering each port. Additionally, I don’t know if the firmware or software is up to date, as TP Link’s site offers only limited downloads, mostly for printers. I reached out to TP Link support yesterday via email, hoping someone could provide a solution before they respond.

I believe starting with one port would suffice. The range 20000, 20001, 20002 isn't correct, please format as separate numbers. I can create a sequence in Excel or another tool.

They likely lack the latest firmware since there are no downloads available. It makes sense that a consumer DOCSIS modem/router wouldn’t support range settings. Probably you’re limited to installing one port at a time. Do you really need to open many ports for BF5? Or are you just running a server?

I discovered the site offering ports needed had a specified range for PCs, but it didn’t clarify if they were intended for servers or clients. I was curious about whether using fewer ports would reduce packet loss since running in place isn’t enjoyable. I plan to test one port and tried the comma method with numbers 20000, 20001—it still produced the same error. Additionally, someone might explain why the modem’s triggering is capped at 10 entries.

20000 - 20100 Also try the comma method without spaces between comma and number 20000,20001,20002,20003,20004,20005,20006,20007,20008,20009,20010,20011,20012,20013,20014,20015,20016,20017,20018,20019,20020,20021,20022,20023,20024,20025,20026,20027,20028,20029,20030,20031,20032,20033,20034,20035,20036,20037,20038,20039,20040,20041,20042,20043,20044,20045,20046,20047,20048,20049,20050,20051,20052,20053,20054,20055,20056,20057,20058,20059,20060,20061,20062,20063,20064,20065,20066,20067,20068,20069,20070,20071,20072,20073,20074,20075,20076,20077,20078,20079,20080,20081,20082,20083,20084,20085,20086,20087,20088,20089,20090,20091,20092,20093,20094,20095,20096,20097,20098,20099,20100

I attempted that last night, this part of the gear is really tough. I'll give it a go with a comma instead, thanks for helping me finish it all.

Even though this guide is what I'm looking at, it's possible you should consider using Port Trigger instead. Refer to pages 53 to 55 for more details.

I performed that action last night as well, but only had 10 slots for port triggering and BF5 claimed 9 of them. I considered setting all ports from 1 to 65535 in port triggering, assuming they'd open when needed and close afterward. However, this caused issues with Chrome and the extensions I installed, and I didn’t test it in BF5 to check for changes.
