Hey everyone, I'm thinking about an upgrade for my setup—either new parts or components. My system is already solid, but I want to enhance the overall experience. I’m comfortable with building PCs and modifying them myself, yet I’m unsure what direction to take next. I don’t have a strong technical background, so any advice would be really helpful. I’m aiming to stay within a budget of under $1000 USD. My main interests are gaming and occasionally video editing.
You might consider refreshing the platform and transitioning to AM5. Models like the 7950X3D or similar options can maintain a high core count while still delivering strong gaming performance. The 9950X3D has recently launched, though it comes at a higher price point. Faster cores in the 7800X3D/9800X3D line could compensate for the loss of the 12-core CPU as well.
